What happened to Austen? I had two missed calls on my cell from him when I was at work.

I'm told that there will be between 30 to 45 MINIs attending the Marshmallow Rally on Sunday. Should be a fun time!

Awesome. And Austen went to test drive cars last night with a friend and was looking for R53 MCS JCW information - IE what makes an R53 a JCW, and what are the tell-tale signs?
We got him sorted.

Looked at that R53 JCW. Looks amazing, drives pretty well too but I Katherine is going to pass on that one.
Looked at another Pepper white R56 S w/JCW aero kit at Audi Burlington. Great car, great price, timing chain recently done, always serviced at Herb, but warranty is expired and there are no extended packages on it. My suggestion to her was to wait and find one that has a warranty/package of some sort. I dont want her first experience as a mini owner to be a rocky one.

Thanks again Nick for the input. Katherine and I appreciated it. I know the R56's, but I wasnt sure on the R53's. Would rather ask then assume right?
That R53 JCW was an actual JCW, but suspension/wheels/aero kit only. It did have DDM intake though which made that supercharger sound like a stabbed rabbit.

No worries. Just glad we went with "make sure they have documentation". LOL And the R53 JCW situation is goofy.
Lawless (Chris) - what's yours have on it to make it a JCW? Which package?

I just wanted to make sure it was a JCW. Anyone can slap badges/door sills on and call it a JCW but I wanted to see paperwork.

Is a brand new mini in her budget? I almost bought a used one until I started comparing prices. For a few extra 1000 I chose to go new.

I finally found a set of mirror caps in my choice of dark silver. I snagged them as a gift to myself from the lovely wife!
