Have any of you guys had your windows tinted? My truck has a factory tint on all the rear windows and I really like the privacy and shade it provides. I was thinking of doing something similar on the Mini. I saw one today in Boston with tinted windows, but the tint was kind of purple colored....didn't look OEM. I much prefer something that looks factory. Any local recommendations (around Manchester or Nashua)? Price?

 

I went out and bought the MINI mesh sun rear sun shades. Frankr56 has them as well. Cheaper than window tint.

Did you ever get your driving lights wired up?

 

I had mine done at carisma in Lowell. They guarantee their work for as long as you own the car against fading, discoloration, tears, lifting, bubbling, etc... I thought the price was around $160ish. I had 15% in the rears and 35% for my fronts. A guy from work recommended them.

 

Carisma does vinyl as well? Maybe we should see if they would be interested in a Mini wrap install day?

I use to get stopped all the time with 30% tint on my 03 Altima.

As far as the tint goes, i've had a complimetary sticker put on by the Bedford MINI with the tint and they didn't give me any grief. Although, the 35% in the front could've thrown them off. hmmmm... I wish I did the 35% all the way around or the 15% all the way around. I think breaking it up from front to back does help avoiding trouble on the road.
