I had a great time also, and it was great to meet everyone. I will definitely be coming out more. And don't worry about it, the waitress did deserve the little bit extra haha.
I plan on joining you guys/girls one of these days. It's just hard to find the time. I purchased a 2012 MCS and I have been having a blast driving it.
On an unrelated note, I have a set of 17" JCW Challenge rims that I would like to sell if any of you guys are interested. I can deliver them to you (within reason). I was planning to use them for my Winter rims, but came across another deal that I jumped on. I have also considered just getting these coated black and keeping them...they are quite nice, but I'd rather have the $$$. PM me your email if interested. $550 is what I paid and I would like to get the same. I'd also consider trades or a break on the price if anyone can help me wire my MINI OEM driving lights.

The OEM driving lights are plug and play. Well 98% anyways. You will still have to have the dealer program them so they will work.
I have the driving lights on my wish list but not sure if I want the OEMs or aftermarket. I really like the looks of the Hella Blacks.
Rick, how easy would it be to install a power socket?

^You already know this. But for everyone else here is why I'm done.
When my MCS was still under warranty service rarely warrantied anything. Only things they warrantied was the driver's side power mirror assembly, license plate lens and boot grip, and the timing chain. Which has been warrantied twice. Service would always had some lame excuse why it was not a warranty issue. For example the window cowl is all dry rotted and cracking. The excuse I was giving was that it's from being hit by an ice scraper so it is not covered and they wanted to charge me almost $360 to replace the two pieces. So the rest is labor? I kinda said no thanks and went to my work and bought the two pieces for a quarter of their quote. Both pieces only sell for $40.95 ea.
Glad I have a really good inde shop. Kensington Autoworks.

I highly recommend this shop. They are mainly a BMW shop but are willing to work on anything. They do love Minis.

Good to know! I purchased a new 2012 MCS from them and I am not thrilled by the swirl marks all over the hood. There's one spot in particular where they seemed to have tried to buff out a spot...not very successfully. I admit that they are hard to see unless the sun hits the car just right, but it's a new car! It shouldn't have any buffer swirl marks! I sent an email last week....we'll see. I can remove the swirls myself, but again....it's a new car!

I noticed the swirls on mine a few days after picking up the car. Again, it's nothing that I can't fix, but they obviously need to have a talk with their "detailer". That makes me wonder about the rest of their work.

Sorry for my miscalculation. BIG brain fart...
