Join us for Headlights for Lighthouses Cruise & Tour
We would love to have your group join us for a historic Cape Cod Adventure, Headlights For Lighthouses Cruise and Tour on 5/15/04.
An All Vehicle Car Cruise from Woods Hole to Provincetown visiting 7 Cape Cod lighthouses. Restaurant discounts provided, free event t-shirt, trophies and giveaways and receive a dash plaque for each lighthouse visited. Cruise In car show at the end of the drive, co-sponsored by the Yarmouth Chamber of Commerce. Excellent lodging and restaurant discounts. Many other events happening throughout the weekend. Local radio stations and media to cover event. Dust off those wheels and join us!
It would be awesome to have a group of Minis join us. The Cape Cod British Car Club will be there, another group of minis and we currently have registered event participants from 16 states and as far away as California, North Dakota and Florida! Numerous regional car clubs already signed up. It is the featured event of Cape Cod Maritime Days, it is a Yankee Magazine Great Destination and is an Editor's Choice event for Unlimited Magazine. It is also supported by the Cape Cod Chamber of Commerce, LinChris Properties and Hyline Cruises. Proceeds of the cruise go to the American Lighthouse Foundation towards lighthouse preservation efforts.

No, it's not a night event.
Yes, there will be all sorts of great cars there including MINIs. Classics, hot rods, old British, etc.
CCBCC is involved peripherally as they have been invited, but this event is being organized by someone from Maine. I'm going w/ the MINIs instead of the CCBCC. (No parts to dodge as they fall off the oldies and no straining my back pushing them when they break down  )
It's only $30- for registration which includes t-shirt and dash plaques from each lighthouse visited.
Not bad cost wise even if you stay the night, but there are deals to be had on the Cape in May.

Our club is hosting the event. The event doesn't exclude anyone, we even have daily drivers and rental cars coming along. Most of the cars on the tour are what I call "specialty" cars. Meaning that they are classics, hot rods, or special interest cars. Currently we have 13 minis registered for the event. Our car club invited other car clubs, especially those in Mass. to join us for some fun in their backyard. The $30.00 may seem like a lot - but you get a nice color t-shirt, a dash plaque for every lighthouse, restaurant discounts, and free car show registration, along with many giveaways, and several raffles. The funds being raised are going to the American Lighthouse Foundation, which goes towards lighthouse preservation - one of their lighthouses is Race Point on Cape Cod, which they completely restored from being a rotting shack to a wonderful "inn". I think it's a noble cause, and people from 20 states across the country have registered, so it can't all be bad. If you have any questions, please let me know.
