Toys for Tots Run: Sunday 12/7 (snow date 12/14) @ MINI of Fairfield County in CT

Cancellation: Toys for Tots Run: Sunday 12/7 MINI of Fairfield County
***Announcement and Update as of 2:30PM***
Due to this very busy holiday season, many who wished to attend our "Toys For Tots Run" are not able to do so. Because of the much lower than expected numbers of attendees, we've decided that it would be best to cancel this Sunday, December 7th's "Toys For Tots Run."
But fear not!! You can still drive your toy laden MINIs and drop off your gifts to MINI of Fairfield County on Sunday, 12/7, between 11AM and 1PM!
Drop offs will continue to be accepted Monday through Saturday up until December 15th when all the toys collected will be distributed to Break Through Options for Families, Single Mothers and Children at Risk.
And for those who may live farther afield, please choose one of the more local drop off sites noted here http://www.toysfortots.org/donate/toys.asp or give your holiday gifts to a local charity where you live. One thing we know for sure, there are many children who will be very happy to receive these toys you've all taken the time to collect and donate.
Happy holidays to all, and I know we'll see each other motoring in our MINIs very soon!
The MINI of Fairfield County Toys For Tots Run is set, thanks to Mark Smith, the powers that be at MINI of Fairfield County, Michael Grassi, Peter Braun, Zoe's owner Wendy and her husband Chris, along with a little help from me/BB and zzMini/Tereza. We'll be staging this Toys For Tots Run from the MoFC dealership headquarters.
Bring all the new and unwrapped toys you can stuff into your decorated MINIs to MoFC on Sunday, December 7th (snow date Sunday, the 14th) located at 1259 E Main St, Stamford CT 06902 • (800) 278-2398, just off 95 at exit 9 and be ready to motor at 9:30AM!
Motoring Advisor Mark Smith, the run planner of the famed Fall Foliage Run, will lead the toy laden MINIs through lower Fairfield County's picturesque hills and dales, where no doubt we'll see the area's charming town centers and homes decorated for the holiday season! After which, we'll regroup at MoFC for the 1st Annual MoFC Holiday Party giving us a chance to catch up, unload all those toys, and share in some light food and drink.
If you feel like it, bring along your favorite holiday treat be it cookies, strudel, fruit cake, sugar plums, etc., to share with their fellow MINIacs and friends.
The facts: decorated
MINIs will rendezvous at MoFC where the run will begin promptly at 9:30AM with a return to MoFC between 12:00PM and 12:30PM where the collected toys will be dropped off for pick up by Toys For Tots and we'll have a chance to share in some holiday cheer.
*If you are unable to join the MINI run itself, please stop by MoFC for the holiday cheer and Toys for Tots drop at 12:30PM - the more the merrier!
For RSVPs: Please contact Peter Braun at MINI of Fairfield County at peter.braun@minifairfieldcounty.com at your earliest convenience, to let him know you're planning on attending.
Bring your two way radios and a co-pilot or two!
(If anyone gets there too early, there is a Dunkin Donuts just south of MoFC, on the left, on East Main St with bathrooms and coffee, too.)

MISSION:
The mission of the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots Program is to collect new, unwrapped toys during October, November and December each year, and distribute those toys as Christmas gifts to needy children in the community in which the campaign is conducted.
GOAL:

Although this thread has gotten only one reply here on NAM, there are going to be quite a bunch of MINIs filled with toys this Sunday and several are coming from as far away as Massachusetts!
