Packets came in to our dealership today. We got ten of them, each of them contains:

2 Tickets for track time
1 Parking pass (does this make sense if your giving two tickets for track time?)
2 Lunch tickets
1 Map of the MINI USA parking area (all the MINIs will converge here, seperate from the BMWs)
1 Map of the track

Ill be heading up for the second day only (as that all the tickets are good for) which is, Labor day. That is the day of the races anyway. MINI USA will have a huge tent set up with free stuff and Im sure they will walking around writing down plate numbers of MINIs with MODS on them.

But this looks sweet. If anyone wants to drive up with me, let me know and maybe we can get a caravan going.

BMW Motorcycles is gunna be there as well as John Cooper's son.

9 tickets left at my dealership!

Ants,

Are these available to the General public or only dealer related folks? This would be an kick *** event!

Antsmini,

I be interested in a ticket. My MCS is on the boat now, not sure if I'll have it by labor day weekend. I am very familar with Limerock. I've road raced my corvette there probably about thrity times. Monday is the day of the vintage racing. I had a schedule of it and I believe it is on Limerocks website.

I don't believe you will be able to drive your Mini on the track. Sometimes, they have a parade laps where you can drive your car on the track at very slow speed.

Again, I've raced my car in road races there and you can't just take your car on the track. They do have a lot of open track events during the year where you can take your car out on the track and your car just needs to pass a tech inspection and all you need is a working seatbelt and helmet. THose open track events (called High performance driving schools) passing in limited to the front straight and if it's your first time you need to have a qualified instructor in the car.

The event is open to the public and they have it every year on labor day weekend at Limeorck. If you don't have to pass you will have to pay for a ticket. I think the tickets are $10 or $20.

Goto Limerock's website. http://www.limerock.com

Clarification: I was referring to the packets (not the general tickets, I see their available on line).

Thanks

The packets are available from your dealer, they only give them out to the first ten to ask, or to the customers with the most motoring spirit. As far as racing, your right its a parade lap.
