New Englanders/ Tire Swap

Hey folks,

With this 10 day forcast of weather in the 40s and 50s do you think it's safe to go swap to my summer tires? I live in an apartment so I need to have it done somewhere (its not like I could change them back and forth if I needed). When do you typically wait to do this. If I were in a pinch I could take the girlfriends X3 anyways. I more afraid of if I get caught off-guard (I work 24 hour shifts, and I'd hate to get stuck at work).

The other side of it is if I continue driving with my Blizzaks in this warm weather they'll get eaten up, won't they?

Thanks, as always

I live in Va, just outside of DC and I'm itching to make the switch myself. I think we're over the worst of it, my only holdup is that I leave the house pretty early in the morning, and it's sometimes still pretty chilly to be on summer tires. I have a garage so it's not to difficult for me to make the switch, but it still isn't something I want to do only to have to switch back next week.

FYI, I don't change my tires to summers until the lows hit 40. I have NO traction below 40F on summers.... and I leave in the AM when the sun rises...

besides we almost always get some April snow...

I switch out a bit further S (here in NJ) around tax-time (mid April)

Well, I went ahead and swapped over today. I admit it, I have no will power. That is also why I have a new boost gauge, and a cat-back in the mail
