I just bought my mini R60 s all 4 in August. I freaking love this car!!!! Anyway, I live in the Bronx and can’t seem to find a good mechanic (seems like they all are located in Brooklyn) any suggestions, and is there any fellow owners in the Bronx? Currently, I installed the forge BOV, and a K&N. I’m about to send out my ECU for a manic tune and just got my NM exhaust and downpipe waiting for installation. #winning. Spotted silver JCW r53 today in the city getting on the queensboro bridge. License plate "Diet SUV" and "Actual size" decals on the rear windshield. Looking good (and super clean!). Anyone on here?

How are guys with catless dp's working around emmisions? I have a catless do and have to figure that out soon my catless dp throws a code. Otherwise I hate to swap out to swap back in every year....annoying pm me if need be.

Getting the tune will eliminate the CEL but, when you go to get inspected it will show the sensor as not ready.
There is a Catted bung that can temporarily work, probably long enough to have the sensor read ready and pass inspection but there are no guarantees.
Curious did you have his downpipe or third party? I shot him a email so just waiting seems like it's tune time.
Mario is great he knows a lot. I had an NM-engineering stage 2 tune and ordered his catless pipe. It threw a code and didn’t feel any different. Sent my ecu to him and he did it over with a stage 2 tune and my car is insane now. No code thrown and sounds like a beast. I can break he wheels loose rolling in third😳😳
Find a mechanic that does inspections, or has a guy, iv never had an NY inspection or emissions problem with any place that worked on my cars, they always came back with a sticker, they all were modified but only a few had tunes...

You can check this event online. I’m planning on being there July 4th. Sunday’s YORKTOWN CARS & COFFEE in the DD parking lot and BJ’s in Yorktown ny.
Wednesday’s is BEAR MT roughly 500-700 cars if the weather is good. There is a $5 charge to get in the park and $5 if your car is newer if you want to display.
Older cars are free.
These events are for all cars. If anyone wants to do a mini meet let me know.

Hey guys and girls in the NYC area. This Sunday the nyMINIons are having a Chill n Grill. Starts around 10:30am and ends whenever. There’s a kiddie park with sprinklers for those of us with kids. Bring stuff for the grill or chip in we are going to have guys run to Western Beef and/or BJ’s to pick up stuff or bring a grill. It would be nice if I’m not the only Mini. Entrance is $5 for the park. And $5 to display if you want to. If you have a older car it’s free do display.
