You do realise that there are two threads for the Sunrise Run, right?

Anyone on LI interested, I have 4 of the 17" factory Dunlop runflats I'm dumping off. 3 of them are good, 1 has a plug that holds air fine. They all have 9,600 miles on them. Replacements are $230 each. Take all four for $200, pick up in Deer Park (daytime) or Brookhaven (eve/weekend)area's.

A few pics of the tires in my gallery:

Next big thing coming up is the New Year's Eve Eve Run into NYC. I finish St. John's 3rd December so I can come out & play again.

I'll be looking forward to this!

I used to do a "Post Card" run through NYC at Christmas (drive by all the places that people take "Post Card" snapshots at) when I had the Corvette. Obviously going through Times Square would be out on New Years eve, but would a NewYear's eve run go by any other familiar places?

I went down to Captree this morning around 11AM-I think everybody is hibernating! Mostly motorcycles & a lone Vette with a P1800 wagon and a nice last generation STI.

Is there any of you actually located in Manhattan? Seems like a lot of people claim NYC but they live in Staten Island or somewhere way up north. No big deal really, just curious since I do see plenty of Minis around my area.
We barely drive it though. I might use it to visit DIA Beacon this next week. Just got a JCW09 back in Oct. and it only has 280 miles on it!

There's a handful on here that live in NYC. I work in southern Manhattan, live in LI. Congratulations on your new addition! I really like the R56 JCW. Keep your eye on the boards, hopefully we'll be doing the New Years Eve Eve Run through 3 of the 5 boroughs! Here's a photoset from Flickr of our last major run thru NYC-The Sunrise Run III.

I should live outside of Manhattan. I can't bring myself to paying for a garage, and my mini has suffered. Just yesterday, I noticed dents and scratches in the front hood probably from some big suv trying to parallel park. A month ago, someone side swiped my passenger side while my car was parked on the street.

A few months ago, a bicyclist ran a red light and clipped the front of the car. Driving in the city has it's risks.

Anyone know of a cheap but adequate dent and scratch repair place around nyc? I can't afford another $500 deductible. I'm afraid my rates will go up with so many claims.

That's terrible - I'm so sorry for you and your MINI.

I'm afraid I can't offer any recommendations, but hopefully others will see your post.

Ouch!...that's the issue with having a car in the city. Either you live in a somewhat car free area where you can actually find a decent parking outside or you better just get yourself a parking space. Around my area the prices are quite scary. 600 plus.

"BTW: One more question guys! I need to install window tints. Do you guys know of a place that does a really good job and has quality tints close to NYC? Thanks in advance guys!"...OOOPS!
Looked around this thread and answered my own question. Thanks for the suggestions!

this past summer, i dropped off my mini in midtown and got all my windows/sunroof, including the entire windshield tinted with Huper Optik for $500 by Tom of theartoftint.com. nice guy and he does an amazing job and huper optik lives up to it's hype IMHO. it's heat protection is pretty amazing for how light i picked the tints, 60% windshield, 50% all around. i did 40% for the sunroof. with low reflectivity, it's a very subtle look.
