HK amp with Bavsound

I upgraded my base system with a Bavsound stage 1. Clarity is improved but I don’t listen to the sound super loud, and the ghost subs don’t have much thump. I read that the amp is the Achilles heel. I don’t want to spend more on this system. Would a Harmon Kardon amp work, and be an improvement with Bavsound speakers? The HK system is plenty fine in my clubman and this is well out of my field of expertise.

I'd say the problem is the amp. I had an '18 F60 with HK and did the Bavsound full speaker upgrade. It was better clarity but didn't have enough power. If I were to do it again, I'd upgrade the amp with Bimmer-Tech's amp. Unfortunately, they're not cheap at around $1100. https://www.bimmer-tech.net/speakers...lifier-for-bmw

Is there a cheaper option to upgrade the amp? I was thinking a stock Harmon kardon to power the Bavsound stage 1 replacement to the base audio. The amp for the base audio has to be inferior, and there have to be some floating around on the market for far less. I’m not looking for that much, I’m no audiophile. For the investment to get this far I was thinking a little extra may be nice. I don’t mind the base in my clubman at all.
