R60 stereo upgraded

Finished in two days thanks to my neighbor. Could be done in a solid 8 hours though. Tear down of dash and install 7 inch Android 10 DVD player. Pretty much a tablet with GPS, wifi, vehicle diagnostic. Also videos and app add on. Then paired with Skar audio wizardry that it is. One 12inch sub and 1500 watts. About 2/3 of a box of 80mil Dynamat to compliment the metal bits. No one like a buzzy car.

Can you say where you connected these wires?

I installed a custom 7” alpine touchscreen and I am having a hell of a time with our 2013 R60 constantly losing memory. Can you tell me what did you connect your accessory and main power lines to?

Looks Like a great upgrade to add some modern updates like Android Auto or Apple Carplay. Where did you get the unit from? I think I've seen the unit on Amazon, eBay, and Aliexpress, always worry about quality or customer service from some of these options. Thanks!

Got the stereo on ebay from a seller in the uk. I believe theyre cheaper now than what i paid. But if you can find it on amazon and get prime shipping 2-3days would be ideal.

This is actually a plug and play setup so didnt have the need to use any extra hardwiring. But you need the constant to goto the battery (yellow wire). And your ACC WIRE(red) to goto a switched fuse.

The cigarette lighter fuse is switched in the 2013 R60 but in my f55 the lighter is a constant. Just gott a have red to turn on when you turn the key

Or you can go the add a fuse adapter and one switched fuse and one constant like you would a back up camera.

Were you able to integrate with the steering wheel controls?

With the new system did it integrate with the steering wheel controls and the other features in that section such as engine lights, speedo amd gas gauge?
