Navigation & Audio Connecting BassLink II to OEM HK
Connecting BassLink II to OEM HK
I need some advise on the correct (best) way to connect a BassLink II sub to the HK system. TheBL II has 4 speaker level inputs (LR, RR, LF, RF). Seems to me there are 3 ways that I could do this -
1. Just use 2 inputs from the rear speakers (L & R - pins 1,2,3,4 on the HK harness).
or
2. Use 4 inputs (rear speakers L & R, - pins 1,2,3,4 AND front speakers L & R - pins 31,32,33,34).
or
3. Use 4 inputs (rear speakers L & R - pins 1,2,3,4 AND pins 22,23,24,25). These pins are for the dual coil rear speaker.
Advantages of using 4 channels instead of two (option 1)?
Advantages of using all connections to the rear speaker vs 2 channels from rear and 2 channels from front (options 2 & 3)?
In any event, I'll be making the connections to the harness at the HK amp, so ease of installation is not a consideration. Just looking for the best results.
