DEAD XM w/ Blitzsafe

All of a sudden died today with a strange muffled static-like noise. All stations are still displaying on the head unit and the antenna shows as connected - so I'm pretty convinced it's the Blitzsafe adapter and not the XM-Direct box. I'm curious if anyone has had this happen? If so what did you do to rectify it.

I've had this one for almost three years. I'm thinking the blitzsafe adapter crapped out.

Now this sound, was is it loud and quick - kinda like the sound when a speaker is going out? I am having this noise ocassionaly with my AUX input. I turn off the stereo and turn it back on and it is fine. No idea what the problem is.

You could get a RCA to headphone jack cable from Radio Shack and hook it up to test the XM 'black box'. Err, assuming that it has RCA out...

well i went out and bought another XM Black box and it is still exhibiting the problem - Blitzsafe is out of the adapters for the next TWO weeks! How am I going to listen to Opie and Anthony??? :-)

I ended up buying another Blitzsafe adapter from myradiostore.com and should have it in the next couple of days - that said is anyone interested in my soon to be fixed XM Direct kit?

New Blitzsafe digital adapter fixed the problem I'm going to send the old one back to be RMA'd for a repair and try and resell it.

Blitzsafe Customer Service Rocks

I just installed a Blitzsafe adapter in my 06 MCS and at first the head unit wouldn't recognize the XM/Blitzsafe. I called Blitzsafe and they stepped through the radio set up for me and all worked wonderfully after that. It turned out that the dealership had left the radio set for "Europe" and we just switched it over to "USA" and voila! None of the information to do that is in the documentation that came with my car...in fact...I called the dealership first and they were no help.

Blitzsafe stands behind their products... (not a paid endorsement )

Can you share how you made the switch from EU to US on the radio? Mostly curious but also I plan on installing this at the dealer before I start my 2-day road trip home and it just might come.

Bwah.!Wah happened here? :-) I love the beer - you can't shut me off!

I called blitzsafe and they didn't have any digital modules in stock for the next 1.5 weeks - can't be without my XM so I ended up buying another one for myradiostore.com. I'll just ebay out this XM direct unit and blitzsafe adapter.
