Installing subwoofers!?

I have a box with two 12" sub woofers and i would like to put them in the back. how hard is it to run everything. i figure it will be some what simple since the battery is right there. but what are you guys doing about the speaker wire?

what!? i think you missunderstood.
i just need to know how to wire the speakers to the radio. i have an amp kit, i just dont know how to hook it up through the radio. how did you guys do it?

Ah, okay. I tought u were gonna install some new cables

if you have an amp, you connect the speaker cabels too the amp. connect a signal-cabel too the radio/cd player and connect it too the amp.

or am I totally lost?

does you head unit have RCA plug ins on the back?

if not, you will need a line out converter, or a HU with RCA out's.

i dont know its the stock head unit. i think it may because you can get the disk changer etc/ ipod interface

nope, thats a diffrernt port.

you need to get a Line out converter, or, get an aftermarket head unit.

the line out converter will attach to the speaker wires from the head unit and give you the 2 rca ports you need.

look at circuit city, they sell them for about 25 bucks.

cool cool. wich speaker wires will it attatch to? can i hook them up to maybe the two rear speaker wires?
