Losing my mind

or at least I thought I was.

I went to Best Buy last night. I wanted to see if I could find another mount locally for my Roady2, but that isn't what this is about. I have a new MINI Cooper Cabrio. Now the XM is sitting in the big cup holder. If I'm going to leave the top down, I put it in the glove box. So this time while the FM was still on I turned off my XM and the radio was playing XM channel one!!!! WHAT THE ******** I look at the Roady, sure enough it is off. I look back at the FM thinking it HAS to be a commercial, but NO it is talking about activating my 'new purchase'!!!!! By this time I think I'm in the twilight zone. All of the sudden I look up and the pickup beside me is occupied. The fellow there is playing with the familiar blue glow of a....ROADY2!!!! Obviously he had his on the very same FM modulator station I did and it was close enough to receive on my FM!!!!! All I could do was laugh. I've had some long days lately but the guys in the white coats can't have me yet.

I hate "twilight zone moments" like that. Makes me sweat.

We have old SIR-PNP2 mounting kits in our work trucks, and if we park close enough to the building we are working in, we can tune the site radio and listen while we work.... Fun stuff.....
