Doesn't that system come with a sub-woofer it should for the price you pay, or did I misunderstand your question?

Of course, anything can be done.

How: lots of $$

Actually there have been posts fo people who have done it. I am guessing the easiest way would be to use a sub with a speaker level input and come off one of the existing subs. There is a some little curved sub and box that seems to fit in the boot area pretty well.

options...

If you feel like you need more bass with the H/K, look for the infinity basslink, or just add a small sub in the trunk. There are plenty of options out there for this. Just be aware that you're going to upset the delicate balance that the H/K was created for, which was good sound quality. I find it's very balanced, but not very loud. When the windows are up, the clarity is fantastic.

Run a search...you're likely to find lots of ideas, as Nam has been around for years now.

F15 couldn't be more right with this comment. I recently added 2 JL 8w3v2's with an alpine 605 amp to power it. To be quite honest it sounds worse than the stock hk system.

HK plus sub

I did it with a self-contained 6 inch Bazooka tube subwoofer. Maybe not the ultimate for audiophiles, but the amp and speaker are inside a tube about the size of a small duffel bag and fits easily into the boot.

Clarion SRV303 for about $300 will work fine, I mounted mine under the drivers seat and it works and sound great, i think it fits well with the HK and I still have all my boot space.
