AUX input

I was wondering if anyone out there had a 2002 MC or MCS with the aux input to the factory radio?

I was told you need a 2003 or newer to put the aux input to your radio. Is this true?

I just put the Aux Input into my 2003 and the instructions that came with the kit said that it was for cars with a build date of September 2002 and later.

early 03' and up will support the AUX kit, but 02 will not. sorry. look around for an 03' radio as some pop up for sale from time to time since the new 05's play MP3 CD's so some are moving on up. good luck.

i have been looking for a 03 or newer radio but no one he responed or wanted to sell one. I am willing to trade my 02 for an 03 with a little bit of cash difference.

You can physically connect the aux plug to the '02 radios, but as several people have found out, it just doesn't work...

For a little more you can get a Blitzsafe adapter that will definitely work. I had one in my 3/02 build MC and it was great. www.blitzsafe.com

I don't know what you're going to see other than it doesn't work... Either spend more for a blitzsafe or keep hunting for an '03 or new HU. Eventually somebody who replaces their HU will have one they're willing to get rid of...
