Replace R56 Head Unit

Hello. I’m new to NAM and this is my first post. I’ve got an R56 with the HiFi upgrade. I’m looking to replace the head unit only to add some of the latest functionality (like Bluetooth and CarPlay). I’ve done head unit swaps on other vehicles before but from everything I have researched so far (including the threads in this forum) it seems like a challenge to do. I’m fine with the physical install but I can’t find a definitive answer on wiring. There doesn’t appear to be a wiring harness that will allow me to hook up directly to the factory amp. The closest I have seen is a harness that will hook up to the existing plug, but requires me to bypass the factory amp and run connections from the aftermarket head unit to the pillar speakers. It also appears I need a module to keep the warning sounds and another to keep the MFSW controls. I’m hoping someone that knows or has done this before would be willing to share their experience with me. Thanks.

See options and advice here:https://newministuff.com/audio-22-c.asp
Also an adapter https://gromaudio.com/store/most_adapters/. that works with android (BT) and iphone (cable/BT).. I had some issues with its BT on android though.
There are ,more expensive adapters such as mobridge.
Good luck.
