Anyone have an h/k head unit for a 2003 S? Mine took a crap (CD player's inner workings are all scrambled... literally), and need a new one because I prefer OEM, but am also too lazy to change all the wiring and to make an aftermarket head unit compatible with the h/k amp. If anyone could help me out or point me in the right direction, I'd appreciate it.

 

Just an FYI - the head unit is exactly the same for 1st Gen MINIs whether you have the H/K or not. Same part number, even! The differences are in the wiring, amp & speakers. Exact same head unit.

 

Sweet. Now comes the daunting task of finding one that doesn't cost a crapload of money...

 

Have you checked out mike at newministuff.com. He's got new ones but they may cost more than you want to spend. If you can find someone who switched out theres for an aftermarket then you'd probably get the best deal. Might search to see who's done it and ask them what they did with the H/U they took out.
