Creative Zen Micro

Has anyone here tried fitting the Zen Micro in their MINI? It's a pretty cool MP3 player that just came out a few weeks ago.

I have a Zen micro. I can attest to it being very cool. Especially since I got it for $75 as a special AMEX promotion / sweepstakes kind of thing (now over).

I had them place the aux. input onto my Mini order ( not here yet ) just because I thought I would be getting one of these sort of things at some time down the road.

The IPOD is nice and everythign, and there is a lot to be said for controlling the player through the driver's controls, but the IPOD isn't going to be around forever, as there are better/cheaper models out there already (Zen Micro v. IPOD mini for example). The aux input will work for everything and is therefore pretty future proof.

the fm tuner and recorder seem pretty cool, and so is it's support of outlook. good luck with it.

the interface sure looks like the ipod's, though.
i don't think anything will be around 'forever', but i've never heard of the 'zen micro economy', or 'nomad jukebox economy', etc., but i have heard of the 'ipod economy'. do a google search. and check it out.

but hey, for $75, how could you go wrong?

I put a Creative Zen Micro on my Christmas list.

From everything I've seen, it works as well as an Ipod and has a similar menu system. The advantage is that it doesn't have the battery problem that the Ipods do.

I hope Santa brings me one.

I've used it...

I've used the Zen Micro on the AUX input and it sounds terrific. The only bummer is not having a mount like the Belkin iPod one to conveniently place it in the dashboard vicinity.

Sorry to resurrect this thread, but I am looking into the Zen Micro myself.

Does anyone know if a car charger exists and where one can purchase said charger?

Thanks,
Max
