I have a 2003 MCS with H/K option. Would the 2005 Standard Head Unit work in my car? Will there be any problems? I want the standard unit because of the ability to play MP3s. Please help! Thanks in advanced!

It would work for MP3's, just not with the HK system

 

The head unit for the HK and "regular" system are identical. The only difference is that when hooked to the HK system, the HK options are activated. I assume that the 2005 HU will work fine with a 2003 HK or regular sound system, since the connections are all the same. I believe that early 2002 HK systems are not compatible, but the 2003 should be functional.

 

Hooked it up yesterday. HK functions work. Joedentist had it right. MP3s everything! perfect!
