No CD Player?

I’ve owned my Mini since July and I just noticed it doesn’t have a CD player... Weird.

Most new cars don't come with a CD player anymore. They give you a USB port to play music from.

I know this is a dumb question but... I can copy my music cds on to a flash drive and my Mini will play it? No special software required?

You need to rip the files as opposed to just copying. Mac or PC usually has software built in to tackle it (Itunes or Windows Media Player). If not loads of free software like MediaMonkey, etc. to make it easier to transfer music. I must have 10 or more programs to do it but CueRipper is probably the best and most accurate free ripper I've found. http://cue.tools/wiki/CUETools_Download

I was just dusting off my 700+ cd collection and came across some I wanted to listen to... shows how much I miss it, it only took 4 months to realize it wasn’t there, just took it for granted I guess.

No CD player

I have to admit that I am lucky that I downloaded all my CDs on iTunes about 10 years ago. I wasn't even thinking that CD players would go away. I don't even have a CD player anymore.

Nice! I found one in some old boxes a few months ago, I believe it was a Queen album... wonder what I did with that...
