R53 Aux Input Conversion issue

So I just bought my R53. It came with an auxiliary cable along with 2 other weird cables sticking out by the cup holder. I checked the back and installed is this:

Problem is.. When I plug in my phone to the Aux cable, 90% of the sound comes from the left speakers and the right speakers are super quiet. I tried messing around with the jack to make sure it was plugged in correctly. Same outcome.

My question is.. If I replace the head unit on this car (non HK sound), am I going to be able to plug and play, or will I have to rewire the speakers?
I had to rewire all my speakers in my BMW because of the stock amp and speakers connecting to one another.. With the stock base stereo system, I hear you don't have to do that?

Or, does anyone know of anything decent on the market I can use for bluetooth integration ?

Thanks!

If you use a new head unit, you will most likely have a 1/8 Aux right on the head unit, in addition to bluetooth capabilities. You will have to get adapters with the new head unit to make it an easy swap - alot easier than the hk systems (from what I hear).

Most, if-not-all aftermarket speakers have AUX input and Bluetooth capabilities.
The white or red wires are the left and right channel speakers. The reason you can't hear out of one side is because either the red or white wire is cut or non-functioning. The easiest fix is to replace the wires.
If you can hear through all the speakers without plugging into the auxiliary port, then if you change your radio, you should be able to do the same with the new one.

It's only when I plug into the AUX jack that the speakers on the right reduce noise. They are still on and producing sounds, just not as much as the left side.

Yeah I saw this thread the other day. I was thinking about ordering this.. But since I don't have the stock HK system.. I can get a head unit for cheaper and call it a day. I think that's what I might do. I did the same thing to my BMW but had to rewire all the speakers. Thankfully I won't have to rewire this one.

Crutchfield here I come!

Oops. Thanks for the correction.

Then I think it may be the AUX jack itself. In the 3.5mm AUX input, there are 2 contact points that is one after another (left channel and right channel).
The right channel contact point may be corroded or damaged. Maybe you can try replacing the input jack itself? It's cheaper than a new head unit and easier to install. You just have to have some soldering abilities.
