Replacing aux/USB input

I've ordered a new aux/USB input for my 2011 MCS as mine has started crapping out (have to wiggle cable around to get both audio channels), but somehow there are no instructions on how to do this anywhere on the internet from what I've seen. This thread seemed promising but at the end everyone stops commenting and no advice is given. ECS tuning, which is where I bought the replacement module, does say that it's plug and play, however, so that's good. Anyway, there is a little opening to the left of the ports (pic). I'm pretty sure this has something to do with getting in there to change this part out. Anyone know how to do this?

So I literally just use that little hole as a place to put something in to pry it open? I assume it'll just pop out then ?

I think he used like a puddy knife to separate the panel in order to dislodge the panel (under the main column)and he stated that there were only two clips holding it in place ..once you get the panel holding the usb/aux off you can un-clip that part and unplug it and replace with the new one....make sure you look at the pics he supplied ..it shows his prying point
