2013 R56 Sirius Activation Code

I know the hardware is in my MINI for Satellite Radio. I just have a big problem paying my dealer $400 just to enter an activation code. I know there are FSC code generators for BMW....will those work for MINI's as well? Just looking for a way around paying $400 for something that's already in my car. I'm happy to pay for the subscription, but it seems a little bit greedy to pay to activate the hardware on top of that.

Don't bother, the 2013 MINI only has half the channels available today stops at 222.

I got a SiriusXM ONYX PLUS, and get up to channel 600

Especially when the option from the factory was only $250 (IIRC).

What channels are up in the 600's anyway? My Subaru and jeep only go up to the 200's also.

You already have 2 cars with XM, ask for a free radio, and wave activation.

Did they send you a decent radio or the cheapest one?

no dice on a free Onyx Plus...they'll give me an Onyx EZ...but the Onyx Plus is only $50. Unfortunately, it's out of stock and it's $80 everywhere else.

Also, which ProClip mount are you using? How did you attach it? I'm against screwing anything into the dash...unless it mounts to existing holes or something.

Where do you mount the antenna? It kills me to have to stick a magnet antenna on the outside of the car.
