disabling the (boost) speed sensitive volume system???

Tried searching the audio forum to see if it is possible to disable the boost function on the stock radio and found nothing. No one has really been checking that forum, so I thought I'd throw up the question in here. Is it possible? If so, how???????

Also is it sound sensitive or is it based on how fast you are going???? Have a new Cooper and at first it was tolerable, but it just happens too much now. Almost after everytime I start accelerating from a red signal!!!

uhhh, what is the "boost function"?

as for speed compinsating sound, it's only adjustable if you have base audio system, NOT H/K. Press and hold the music note and then toggle through those functions....

I was actually referring to the speed sensitive volume. Is there a way to disable that or turn it off?

"As been posted earlier in this thread, the HK system has the audio speed contolrs built into the amp and works automatically, it starts to increase the volume in smallmicrements starting @ 50mph. The head unit in the earlier MCS still have the speed menu enabled but does not function if ts connected to the HK AMP. Bear in mind that when you get the HK system all that is added to the car is the amp and speakers, the head unit is standard on all the cars with certain menu functions enabled depending on the amp connected."

Not sure from reading his post if Panganiban has the HK system!

If not, you can adjust the amount of speed compensation. Hold the music button (I think) till you get into the adjustments, then find the "SPEED VOL" setting and reduce it to a lower number ... find a number that you like
