Nav DVD player, where is it!!!
Ok iv looked all over the place and must be put the wrong crap in the search!! Where is the nav DVD player located on a 06 Mini Cooper S?? R53 I looked under the seats in the glove compartment in the trunk hatch area and can not find it!! Also where would the fuse for it be? I'm having issues with it freezing up so I was going to check the DVD and maybe clean it out, I also saw about resetting it by pulling the fuse. My car did not come with a manual so I am not able to look in that. Thanks for your help guys!!!
rkw was spot on.
Here is a picture of what the little flap under the seat looks.

Location of nav dvd drive 2004 mcs
The drive box on my 2004 MCS appears to be under the carpet on the front left side under the passenger seat (if you push the seat all the way back and are looking down) With the passenger seat pushed all the way up using a flashlight, it appears there is access to a small black metal box, but reaching in and touching it, I feel nothing like a rubber flap, only cold metal? I cannot locate a disc slot or eject button anywhere? If there is a rubber flap, exactly how does it open? Sorry for so many questions, but it looks like "access denied" to my disc drive. Were the 2004's possibly different? I've owned mine since new. Thanks so much!!!! MinisRcheeky

Seat pushed forward and all the way up, the flap opens from the outside. With the seat up, you can look down and see the flap (mine is gone) and with it open you can see the player underneath the metal cover. No need to do it by feel. There is a red flashing light on the inside edge, and the eject button is on the outside edge.

Thanks for the reply. Something is waaaaaaaaay off here! With the seat pushed forward and all the way up, you can not see anything unless you stick your head on the floor and look under the seat with a flashlight!!!! The box is very small and you have to blindly reach for it, (thus by feel), as it is on the far left side towards the front of the seat. No flap, no red flashing light, no eject button. I'm sorry if I'm missing something here, but this box is covered almost completely with carpet. The only side that is accessible feels like cold metal? Do I have an older CD version or something??? Thanks.
Yes Please! If someone could please post a photo of what I'm supposed to be seeing that would be awesome! In the meantime, I'll try to take a photo of what's under the passenger seat in my 2004. MinisRcheeky
I've tried to search for one online and wasn't successful. If you post of a pic we can hopefully point at it.
Here are images from the BMW TIS repair manual. These are views with the passenger seat removed (front of the car is towards the top):

The second photo shows the flap partially open. It is not a small box. Under the seat, you should find a fairly large metal surface, which is a cover for the Nav unit, and it has a flap at the rear end.
Here's a photo of the actual disc drive unit underneath the metal cover:

The box under my seat looks way too small for a DVD to even fit into! I can barely even get my arm under the seat to touch the only part of the box that is exposed, (which is facing the rear) What am I missing here? Thanks.
Not half as dumb as I now feel!!! HA!!! 'Can't see the forest through the trees!' I was focusing on the 3 1/2 in. X 5 in. box at the front on the left side under the passenger seat. Took my wife to the car with me, (second set of eyes!), she spotted the disc box right off! Thanks everyone for your help, and sorry I missed it! My sight is failing, probably my brain too! There should be a flap visible with the seat forward.
