Lanzar is a brand I would stay far away from. They're a low end entry level company poorly put together with cheap parts. Their ops-drive stuff used to be raves about but they've built so much crap I won't even give them credit there lol. Also, are you 100% against a real 8 or 10 inch sub in a small enclosure? Free-air 6x9 subs are not going to give much low end extension or volume.

What are the guidelines and budget requirements? I might be able to point you in a more fruitful direction.

for what the OP wants those lanzar amps should do the job... I guess injected GT never used the recent Opti line of amps they are quite underated and do what Lanzar says they will.

1. That amp isn't an opti.
2. I never said you weren't happy, guy. Thanks for all the name calling and getting offended like a school child. I never meant to be offensive, I've just been in the audio world a long time and have done a lot of things from sales to installs from low budget to high end. I know the best ways to set up a clean, sound quality oriented, well rounded audio system that efficiently hits all the frequencies. So I chimed in with my advice based on knowledge of the field and real world experience. Not simply opinions. Its laughable how offended you got though because my suggestion to the op wasn't exactly what your set up is.

Just now realized you ARE the op, jcw. Still, sorry for giving audio advice to you that might yield a more satisfying result. It was a suggestion. No need to get upset.

So offering up my knowledge in car audio is the equivalent, to you, to butting into your business? Wow dude, you need some sort of attitude adjustment.

I saw this thread as you showing things you were INTERESTED IN, not things you already owned and were installing. So I offered another option that would be a more well-rounded route sound-wise.

I gotta say, if your attitude and "gratitude" is how advice on this advice forum is taken, I'll be on my way out the door. Not really seeing how someone can be so childish when given advice.

I came into the audio/electronics section to offer my insight, knowledge, and expertise in that exact field to better people's knowledge and ability to purchase, install, and tune here on a new forum. I guess I'll stick to the car audio forums and forums for other platforms that I'm on. The MINI community apparently doesn't accept new views, even if they're nothing but helpful.

I have 6x9's used as subs in the stock enclosure, it made more of a muddled thump and rattle, especially being behind the plastic paneling.
I prefer more bass you can feel, than just a deeper echo. So I wired in the 6x9s to just play as woofers, faded them out so that they only carry 25% of the volume, and got a 10" slim sub made for the back seat of a truck.
Still nothing compared to the beast of an audio system I had in my last car, which was a full sedan, but it gets by.

If you don't want people's opinions, you probably shouldn't be posting on a public forum. Just a thought......

He just happened to catch the wrong one. And I put him in his place. I guess he couldn't take it cause he went crying to the forum looking for condolence. this is my secound MINI that I have upgraded the sound system using that same brand of amp and I dont need the advice from someone who bashes another persons idea because they think theyre far superior in the field of music, which theyre not. My thing is, if someone throws up a suggestion its not for the next person to down grade their idea. It was just a suggestion. In a fruitful direction.!
'Homoish'. Wow. Way to be man, way to be. Way to bring in your apparent homophobia into a thread that has literally nothing to do with sexual orientations whatsoever.

Allow me to help your limited vocabulary...

From http://www.thefreedictionary.com/fruitful

fruit·ful (frtfl)
adj.
1.
a. Producing fruit.
b. Conducive to productivity; causing to bear in abundance:
By the way, Lanzar is crap.

Like I said, it is time for you to grow up.

He is entitled to his opinion and having heard Lanzar, I actually agree with him. For a little more coin, you can have a better system.

Welcome to the world of public forums. If you don't like having someone give their opinion then I suggest you disconnect from the Internet

What is the point of this thread?

The OP posted a link to a product... Another member posted about their experience with that product - at which point the OP started name calling and talking about putting somebody in their place?

So why was the thread created? Was the OP trying to promote a product in violation of the site's rules? If it was just a recommendation - then they shouldn't have been bothered by another member commenting on their experience with the brand or manufacturer... At the very least this could have been a discussion as opposed to an attempt to start a flame war...

Thanks for the help - I'd like to upgrade for around $1,000.
