I have been following the threads about the Mini Connected devices with video playback. It has come to my attention that so far people with these devices can have playback only when vehicle is stopped, not on, and parking brake up.

If your like me and have kids, they want to be entertained all the time. My old Tahoe ( Which I traded in for a countryman ) used to have headrest monitors and the works.

Cutting to the Chase. I have paired up with a company that makes modules for BMW's for not only allowing playback while moving (for passengers) at your own risk, but also allows the addition of more monitors if you wish.

1 Catch, they need a test vehicle ( new model ) with Mini Connected in the Las Vegas, NV area. So if this is you, let me know!! You will get a free unit and help others solve this issue. I might carry them after if it works to help out all of us mini users. I used to use their products in my BMW, it was a simple install less than 20 min!

 

Basically post if your interested and if you live in the Las Vegas, NV area. Please don't come on here flaming that you shouldn't do this because of safety etc.. There are a lot of things we all do that are unsafe. Im wanting to find a need that myself and others are wanting.

 

Wow not 1 person to get video playback in their mini with mini connected?? I guess there isn't a market for mini's then.

 

Or not a lot of Mini's in Las Vegas area. Any way to expand to other geographical areas?

 

Yes.. The only problem is you need to get to Las Vegas. The company is based there and they need the car for a bit to understand the code. First I will get you in touch with the company ( They are big in the BMW industry ). They just told me to be able to come into their offices etc.. I live in WA so it makes it harder for me.

 

I think it is a little unrealistic to think you will get lots of requests on something after only 18 hours, give it a few days, there are many people here that do not visit the site daily.

And of the 97 views at the time i am writing this I would be willing to bet that there is less than 10 that have MINI Connected in their cars that have looked at this even.

 

I would love to..... Bummer that I'm in Fl :( I've also been in contact with a company that does BMW's through software alone (insert cd) but they have not cracked the code yet. I can't wait . What I ultimately want is FaceTime from my iPhone showing in the dash.

 

Ya already talked to DVDinmotion and they can't crack it via disc since the Mini's only have CD not a DVD.. Also the code is much different. Working on coding and/or module. Wow FaceTime in dash! That would be amazing!!
