Anybody do an HD Radio retrofit, on a Clubman?

Hi there,
Was trying to find information on what it takes to retrofit HD radio. I've got an 09, base audio, w/ the alpine kit installed. I had some loaners and really enjoyed HD radio. I found a post that talked about buying a used HD radio tuner (which I can find), and then some install instructions but it talked about the boot, a carpeted area which I'm not sure applies to clubmen? Anybody know what it takes?

I do realize I'd finally have to reprogram w/ NCS, which maybe will be something I'd get to also be able to do some of the other reprogrammings available ;-)

The Clubman install should be exactly the same as the hatch. It will be in the right-rear boot near the wheel well. The hardest part of the install is getting the fiber optic lines reconfigured, as you may or may not have the diagnostic loop lit above your fuse box. Worst case scenario is you may have to add the diagnostic loop to the back of the head unit in order to light the line that goes back to the IBOC tuner area.

Programming is easy when you get NCS setup, just add the option code to the Vehicle Order.

I have an IBOC unit and bracket for sale. PM me if you're interested. For some reason, I can't post a marketplace ad. I'll sell it on the cheap to NAM members before going to eBay with it.

Any updates? This is something I'm certainly interested in doing for my 2009 Clubman.

if you were asking me, the OP, well I haven't decided yet to purchase a tuner since I want to verify the hardware bits (that wire/loop thing I need to have). I'm becoming capable of ecu reprogramming soon, so once I know I can do that then I'll start thinking about this... I'd really love to have HD radio. Would make listening to the radio bearable in an era of ipods and mp3s...

Anybody here care to enlighten me as to where the IBOC tuner goes... and its bracket...

on a clubman?

If i look from inside the boot over the wheel well, on a clubman there's a vent sort of thing, a grill of sorts - behind it is a box, but that box for me is the park-distance-control module.

IOTW I'm trying to figure out where

goes!
