Front speakers in 09 hifi

Does anyone know if the front door speakers are 3 way x-over from the factory? Ie, do the front woofers only play down low, the 3 1/2 only play mid and tweeters oly play high?

Thanks

I believe, but am not positive, that the 6.5 has a low pass filter somewhere in its circuit, the 4" gets full range (only limited by its size), and the tweeter has a high-pass filter.

This is untrue.

The amplifier handles all the frequency crossover.

Channels are as follows

Channel 1 - Front woofer lerft
Channel 2 - Front woofer right
Channel 3 - Front Mid/Tweeter Left
Channel 4 - Front Mid/Tweeter Right
Channel 5 - Rear Woofer left
Channel 6 - Rear woofer left
Channel 7 - Rear Tweeter Left
Channel 8 - Rear Tweeter Right

The front Tweeters are filtered via a capacitor for lower frequencies

There are a number of threads here taht deal with the frequenciy responce on each channel.

When I said, "...somewhere in the circuit..." I was including the amp. Perhaps that is not the correct way to say it.

Where are the threads with the frequency response for each channel. I don't recall seeing info for each speaker in the HIFI.

Here is the post on the Non-HiFi, and you will note that this thread was moved out of the Audio & Nav Section to the How To Section. But this post does show some info for the HiFi Woofer (front door 6.5")

https://www.northamericanmotoring.co...3-post101.html

As for the HiFi graphs I am not finding them at this time but will continue to look. The thread may have been moved to somewhere else so it may be more difficult to find.
