Hello,

I have a 2004 JCW with with the Harmon Kardon sound system. Recently, I have been experiencing 'WHITE NOISE' coming form the speakers, the weird thing is, it happens whether the system is on or off?!?!

I would love any of your thoughts or input as I have no idea where to even start with this... but it sounds as though dead people are trying to communicate with me.

I am bumping this up because I think I am experiencing the same sound. 2005 MCS with H/K system. I hear a white noise sound that gets louder when accelerating. I can't tell if it is a light suction noise coming from the intake or a white noise coming from the speakers. I have only had a the car for a few weeks so I am not quite sure what it is normal or not yet.

Odds are that's your HK amp 'giving up the ghost'.

 

I have a 2003 MCS with H/K doing the same thing. Hissing/static, pops, chirps whether the radio is on or off. I was just coming here to see if it could be the stereo or the speakers or both. I guess I should go do a search for amp.
