Car makes rattle noise

Hey peeps I have a 2007 with a JCW tuning kit. And i recently got a resonator delete and all new pipping. It sounds much deeper and its make a pretty badass sound. This morning I start it up and let it warm up and as i take off I hear this weird rattle and my wife tells me if its because of the resonator or new pipping they did. I highly doubt that it was that because the noise was coming from the engine.
Its a hard noise to explain but I clearly remember that when my oil runs low it makes this noise and than as soon as it warmed up it goes away. My question is what kind of engine noises does a mini make when its low on oil? And does the resonator delete have anything to do with it?
Last time I changed the oil was at 96,670 miles now its at 104,000 miles and it was just an oil change no filter.

I doubt it has anything to do with your exhaust. Now on to that oil comment....

With a 2007 I wouln't go any farther than 5,000 miles between oil changes. 2007 & 2008 R56s vehicles with the N14 engines are notoriously bad when it comes down to burning oil. 2009-11 isn't much better until they switched to the N18 engines. Also always change the oil filter when doing an oil change. Very inexpensive thing to over look.

I change my oil every 3-4k because it burn through the oil too quick. I recommend checking your oil more often as these things are pretty bad. Hopefully if it is due to low oil level there wasn't too much damage!

Agree, frequent oil changes are perhaps the most important procedure you can do to maintain and prolong the life of your engine. For the rattle, are you possibly able to post a video of the noise? Can you tell where it's coming from in the engine bay? I did find this thread here that seems to be similar to your complaint.

this rattle seems to come out when I'm low on oil. And everytime I change it or even put a quart of oil it all goes away. Maybe it does need that oil change. I will do it as soon as I get home and keep you updated thanks so much for the help.
I'll record a video and post it up hopefully I get some great feedback thank you

Why wait until a low oil issue makes a noise to remind you to add oil? Not trying to be a dork, but once a low oil issue makes a "noise", you are beyond maintaining your engine, and far into replacing said engine. Oil is cheap. Use the proper stuff, keep up on oil and filter changes, monitor the level, and you may just find yourself with FAR less engine noise.

I agree with comments. I change oil and filter religiously at 5K. Check oil at 2500 miles between. Usually add 1/2 qt to keep it full up. So I estimate a little less than 1qt used every 5K.

If you haven't had timing chain and tensioner replaced, that is a known issue. And it will rattle. Until catastrophic failure. Plenty of info on here about this and the recall.
