Just purchased an '06 convertible. Audio question

Wow fun car! I am a new (used) Mini owner and have just one question right now. I am sure more will follow. Why will the Aux in port in the glove box only work with an "old school" audio device and not an Ipod? Not sure which generation my Mini is or how I find out?

Thanks

Additional note: After looking through several threads, I have noticed mentions of aux settings when the "note" button is pressed. I do not seem to have that option.

Hey great buy.

06' is a great year and a rag top too. Your MINI is considered a 1st Gen MINI. You can find the Aux in kit for your IPod from MINI, or in the Marketplace right here in NAM. https://www.northamericanmotoring.co...cat.php/cat/22

I think two kits have gone up for sale there in the last month or so.

Good Luck,
Dave

You might possibly have the Aux input cutting out. Many seem to have cured this with a ground loop isolator. Seach the forum for more information.
