I know this can lead to total madness....but I was just wondering, how good do they really sound....do you really get the soundstage floating just above the dash...twisted minds want to know.

If they image like their propaganda says, might have to start a special savings account. The imaging and soundstage presentation are what I value most, but would like to have some first hand comments on them.

Imaging and the sound stages biggest influence is the the interior design of the car. You should pick up an advanced automotive audio book. Your right it is just propaganda.

The lower door location for the 6.5" speaker seems like a limiting factor to me. An $800 speaker really needs a better location, IMO.

Isn't it just a 2-way comp with a "super" tweeter that would get mounted in the a-pillar? That design has been around for 25 years....its marketing hype...you could do the same thing by ading a 1/2" tweeter to and 2-way...just need to throw a cap on the positive wire. Somewhere around 6k..and wire it in series with the tweeter.

+1

Looks like something that would be sold out the back of a white van in a shopping center parking lot, for 80% off the marked price.
