I still shake my head in disbelief that somebody (and it had to be a whole committee) actually thought this was a good idea.

Thank you so much for the info.

Thanks for the info. I bought the car used from a non Mini or BMW dealership and they knew very little about the vehicle except for the history, which was well documented. It is my 1st time to drive a Mini and I love it. It is a silver 2010 Camden version, 2 door with a sunroof and tons of get up and go. I have researched Mini's online for quite a while and had almost decided against one just because I saw so many that I did not care for, but when I saw this one I was in love. I saw several videos online where they referenced the disable button for the Mission Control but none showed the popup above the glovebox where it could be accessed. Again, thank you for the quick response and Happy Motoring! I now will totally love my Mini!

The odd thing is if you have the mini connected system you cannot have mission control unless you plug in the phone and turn on the app. No SD card or slot :|

Aside from being more gimmicky than useful, Mission Control in my CM has some flaws along with its shortcomings. It knows the outside temperature ("It's a nice warm day!") but always thinks it's raining, never failing to admonish me to close the sunroof to keep the drops out, even on bright, sunny San Diego days. Could this just be the default warning for vehicles shipped to the UK?
