Pair 2 phones with bluetooth, possible?

I couldn't find this one but I have a noob question: Can you pair 2 phones to the bluetooth in the Mini? I always have a work & personal cell phone on me. I'm assuming you can pair it up, just can't use both @ the same time. Is this correct?

Correct. The car sees both phones but only one can be selected at a time. So when my husband and I are driving together, it's the driver whose phone we select since the bluetooth will help them out more.

You can pair up to 4 phones per manual.

I have had four phones paired up at one time. It was jsut to test to see if it could be done.

It is a little awkward to switch from phone to phone but it can be done. SO if you are carrying two phones you could answer both but it is distracting to try and change from one to the other while driving so i would not recommend it. If some one else is inthe car and they know how to do it that works well.

Can you pair the desired paired-phone to the key in use?

I doubt that is possible as it is not part of the bluetooth standard I althought it would be good idea.

I beleive that it will select teh first phone or the phone with the strogest signal when it comes on.

Other than manually changing the active phoen i d not beleive there is any other way to get it to select a certian phone.

On my BMW bluetooth, the latest phone to be paired will be the chosen phone to connect.

There's a list of phones the MINI's paired with, if the MINI sees one of them it'll connect to it automatically. If the MINI sees more than one of the phones it'll take the highest one on the list. (The list is ordered.) You can change the order of the list.

It works quite well for us, if either of us is driving the MINI automatically connects to our phone. If we're both in the MINI, I usually drive so I put mine at the top of the list. The MINI can answer mine, my wife will have to fish her phone out to answer hers.

That worked well until we were driving both MINIs in convoy and my phone connected to the MINI she was driving. Somewhat confusing, but I could just move hers to the top of the list and then it worked fine.

You can chose which phone gets priority? I'll have 2 phones @ all times & my work phone would be first priority.

So if I'm on my first priority phone and the 2nd priority phone rings, what happens?

it does not go through Bluetooth. I had my Bluetooth connect up the hill from my house, it was a pain for a second until I realized it was connecting to our mini.
