Garmin FM Transmitter

I followed the instructions and found an FM station low on the scale around 9 with no traffic. When I went to adjust the Garmin I found it goes no lower the 11 range. All the FM ststions in the 11 range are fully broadcasting. Am I missing something on how to adjust the Garmin?

Jim,
On the main screen press the volume button which takes you to adjust the volume or you can also select the FM Trans.Press that and it takes you to the Frequency Adjust section. It then says "tune your radio to an unused FM channel then set the frequency on your nuvi to that channel." Make sure you check the Enable FM Transmitter to be able to adjust the frequency on it.The lowest frequency shows 88.1 FM on my Garmin nuvi 760 GPS.

See if that helps.

Thanks Jim R. My 760 gets a bit goofy sometimes it seems. The day I was trying to set the FM it would go no lower then 11. I followed your instrructions and it did in fact go to 88.

It also will not hold the phonebook from my cell. Every time I turn it on the book is gone and within five minutes my cell asks if I want to transfer the phonebook. I have chalked this up to the fact that we live near Camp David and there are times when no cell phone works right. Could have something to do with the F-14 that passes low over the house every ten minutes.

You are welcome Jim
And interesting theory regarding Camp David and the F-14's passing low every ten minutes.
