The drive is located under the passenger seat. On it's own it will not play movie DVD's, there are places that can make those mods to the Nav system to do that, it will cost you somewhere between $1000 and $1500 for the ability to watch DVD's on your Nav system...

Well I love my nav system.

One of the things I like best is I can SEE what cross streets go through to where I need to go and thus without it's directions even I can run around town more easy than before.

I've met lots of MINI owners and those with NAV really USE their NAVs.

My contempt for the system has been fading.

I always have the map display up. I may not have it talk me to a destination often, however I do often refer to the display.

The system definately has shortcomings, and I expected better of it when I ordered it. However, I'm still glad I have it and want one in all of my vehicles now. It does come in handy.

I find a map just as easy and alot more reasonably priced. It is a bit distracting. I will not get another.

Maps are a lot cheaper. Besides there is nothing as much fun as re-folding a map as you blast down a mountain side road. The sight really puts fear in the eyes and hearts of coal truck drivers. Oh, I forgot they have no hearts, and from the way the drive they also lack eyes. Read maps, carry a phonebook and ...

Motor on.
