remove rear seats

remove passenger rear side panel

you can now un-screw the amp and unplug the harness from it.

I was afraid of that - so you have to remove the entire panel to get to the amp?

Thanks for the info - if anyone knows the interior, you do.

honestly i cant remeber if i got the amp out before removing the panel, i think it was. i took it out a while back and sold it, so i cant remember. you could see it through that little door on the panel, but i think to get the bolts off, you have to take the panel out. which means the back seats too LOL

I bought a backup amp and wanted to test it, but after looking and surmising that I'd need to pull the panel (seats too, eh?), I think I'll just trust that it works.

Does the amp simply unplug & swap? Some systems (like SAAB & some Hondas) require "divorcing" components from each other to help prevent theft...

Just curious to find out more as my HK just pooped out too following a battery replacement in my '04.
