Navigation & Audio Can you change the way street names are displayed?

Can you change the way street names are displayed?
Right now, street names show all horizontaly, whether the street goes east/west/north/south. its realyl annoying as i cant tell what the name of a street is this way!
is there any way to change the way street name text is displayed?
what i MEANT was, in the OEM NAV, streets all show vertically. this makes it realyl hard to tell what street is names what. any way you can change this
that is pretty darn disappointing. I can't even tell what streets are coming up ! Pictures in the manual show the orientationof streets name in the nav differently :(
I believe there are different ways to view the NAV. IIRC, you can have the map full screen, or you can have a split screen where the other part has a directional arrow with the name of the upcoming street in fairly large type. I use the spit screen and don't have any trouble reading the street.
I don't have any problem reading street names either. Not sure what your looking at. Maybee you need to zoom in a bit. I leave mine on 800 or 400ft normally.
I think ninja means that, for example, when a grid of streets is displayed with several street names, it can be difficult to tell which street name belongs with which line on the map.

Yes, I figured that. But if you are in 800 or 400ft mode, it is very clear.
Just got my Sept build R56 with Nav and am having some real heart burn with this as well. One thing I noticed that helps a tiny bit, and you have to dangerously take your eyes off the road in order to see, but there is a small black dot associated with each road name on the applicable road (line). It is usually next to the first or the last letter of the name. Not easy to see, but it seems to help in the less cluttered displays.

I agree, it's difficult to read street signs with all the street names displayed horizontally. I wish Mini would come up with an upgrade to display the street names based on the street orientation.
Thanks, Robin. That doesn't make any difference... I've tried zooming in all the way, and out. I've just re-read the )&$@#%&* manual for the 4th time, and it's not in there. And the dealer is absolutely useless. Anybody else have a suggestion please?
