Sub install...

I am installing my subs, two 10" audiobahns, profile 1200 amp. How do I make my RCA cables work with the stock head unit? Everything is ready to go. I just need to convert the stereo to RCA. Is there an adapter?

You're on the right track. What you need is a line level converter to convert the speaker level outputs to line level outputs.

What did you end up doing for the line-level converter? I'm just curious because I believe your amp (Profile AP1200, right?) already has a line-level converter included with it.

to a newbie (on subwooers and amps) exactly what is a line converter and if I am adding a subwoofer and mono (1 Channel) amp, do I need one?

There are no RCA "line outputs" on the stock HU.
Some amplifiers can take speaker level outputs, but many are line level only, and then you need a converter to go from the speaker levels out of the HU, to the line level inputs of the amplifier.
Doesn't matter if it's mono, but look to see if it offers speaker level inputs ...

Thank you all for the comments I am enoying it to the fullest. The system is not designed to be the loudest...but it does get extremely loud. We engineered the box to have the best sound quality, and amazingly unless I am at its limits you DO NOT hear too much rattling outside of my car, and I have not used any additional soundproofing other than what the factory supplied.

Oh and for the beer and peanuts I have a custom RSD(rear seat delete for those with trouble finding these acronyms) both sides-old rear seat and the trunk area(which is covered by my subs) flip up to reveal a secret storage. I was going to do a write up about that, but I lost all of my pictures from it. Hopefully I can find them on my hard drive.

JustJay- it is the pilo racing bar, which is hard to come by anymore, but www.outmotoring.com has them back in stock...I do not know if it is pilo's, but it should be good quality.

And as for my converter. I used scorche's line-level converter, it is hidden under the RSD.
