Mini Takes the States 2010

So I am really excited about MTTS 2010 and MITM. All I have heard is from Motoring File and from some rumors at MA.

http://www.motoringfile.com/2010/02/...back-for-2010/

It ends in Denver with a reveal and a big concert but do we know official starting points? I've picked up that there will be multiple places all headed to Denver. Am I correct? If so, expect Texas to make a GREAT showing!

Please post any info you get!

So I heard that they are meeting up in Orlando driving to Alaska then driving to Denver. MINIUSA said another meeting place was Hawaii and they are going to float everyone to Cali and then drive to Denver. I am just saying thats what I heard.

Well I certainly hope that they get the details figured out by April 1st so that we can make plans. I was planning on MITM anyway, so picking Denver is good. It will be interesting to see what the starting points are.

And since I'm taking vacation during the rally point in Denver, and live here, my 2 car garage will be open to any visiting Mini that needs to do a little work...if that need arises

So now we can go public as well. MINIs In The Mountains (August 12-15) and MTTS will be joining forces so to speak. Look for mutual events in Winter Park on Friday and in Denver on Saturday. We will keep our website updated with all the news (www.MinisInTheMountains.com) so check it frequently. In the meantime I would suggest you book your rooms in Winter Park soon to take advantage of our great rates. Winter Park is just an hour from Denver and the drive down is awesome - this is the place to be for MITM and MTTS.

I forgot to mention that registration to MITM will also get you in to MTTS. Two for one is always a good deal.

Look for our MITM registration opening up this week.

So should we stay in Winter park for MTTS and then hang out till MITM? Will the rates still apply?

Since MITM starts Thursday August 12 and goes until Sunday August 15, your lodging deal in Winter Park will cover the dates of MTTS which is Friday & Saturday. Plus with MTTS activities happening in Winter Park on Friday there are even more reasons to stay in Winter Park.

I know this will be a hard decision for some. It is a long way to go. BUT, If MINI USA can pull off anything close to what MINI did at MINI United last year, It will be worth the drive. I understand that MINI USA is taking alot of the formats of the MINI United to MTTS. The events were fantastic, and the number of MINIs and Minis showing up ( rumor there was close to 10,000 cars )and the attendance of people being in the 50k range was mind blowing.. I think what MINI USA can pull off, will be only be exclerated by the number us owners who make the effort to go... as the saying goes, the more the merrier!!

You can certainly save some $$ by staying in Winter Park. Our least expensive room is only $65 with mountains and MITM. Can't beat it in Denver.

Taking a somewhat educated guess - I would put money on west of center. North of Hampton south of 70. Just a guess mind you but there will probably be multiple locations. Now I need a Pepsi, U2?
