Anyone have any inside info or speculations as to when Mini will be announcing MTTS 2010, and whether it'll take place in the same cities as 2008? I much enjoyed my trip to Boston MTTS and would love to do it again!

 

I hope they decide to have it again. Went to the Boston event last year and it was a blast. They should let us drive our own cars on the autocross course!

Minis Take The States; began as a coast-to-coast drive.

 

I contacted MINI about this a couple of weeks ago, and there's 'been no official announcement yet'. I guess we'll just have 2 sit idly by and wait 4 word...

 

Sweet, it's on! How the heck are they gonna cater to a bunch of minis in an already congested NYC will be interesting.

 

can't wait to see 1000+ MINIs arriving in Denver at nearly the same time. oh god, the traffic.

 

the whole thing seems to be a joke unless you plan on driving to denver. Cant get any info on events in each of the cities. Anyone know wher ei can find individual event info? IF they are having them at all.

I did WV to CT in '06 and Boston in '08. I'd highly recommend making one of the stops but it's hard to say if it would be worth hitting multiple stops

Are they giving any additional details on events to those who register?

They had some really cool bands and activities at in 06 & 08 but a lot of it felt over hyped, and drawn out.

What's A MiniCross?
I went to Boston in 08 excited to compete in an autocross but it was more of a test drive on an autocross course. You had to use their cars and it wasn't timed... Fun but a big letdown if you were expecting a real autocross.

I actually have those two weeks off work (furlough and forced Vacation ) I could pull off the NY to CO if I wanted to but that's a lot of driving. 60hr+ in the driver's seat isn't exactly how I want to spend my vacation...
