Cooper with MTH tunner - Plug change ?
I picked up some NGK plugs as part of an order a while back and they are the BKR7EIX plugs one range colder than the stock BKR6EIX would be ?
Will it run hotter with the 94 Octane maps ?
Will changing to the colder plug be *too* cold ?
I dont abuse it but i try to keep it in the power band ?
Advice appreciated from the guys that wrote it...
( i am also looking at adding the Header )

Got the Dealer to use my plug for the Inspection II on Tuesday and have put over 300 miles since.
After the last little outing pulled into the garage. let it cool down and check the plugs clean - no foul... i'll keep checking them...

Cooler help stop detonation
I think that the cooler plugs help stop detonation by cooling the tip on the plug, which is usually the hot spot in the chamber.
Detonation can be caused by:
- Increased pressure from more boost, higher compression pistons decreased deck hight...
- Increased timing advance
- Higher temps
- lower octane fuel
...
On my older cars I work with the heat range of the plugs once I have the carb and timing dialed in so that I am using the coldest plug I can without fouling in normal driving conditions.
So I think the answer to your question is that they wont provide any additional power over a new set of the normal heat range but I don't think that most Mini's see driving conditions that will foul them out either but let us know how it goes.
