2008 Mini Cooper S R52 Sidewalk Edition
105k miles, $7900
Not sure if the Sidewalk Edition is much more desirable than a typical R52 S but figured I'd post in case anyone is looking for one.

The perfect place to add LOTSC tidbits...

I love the special grill badges they got.

And,
the illuminated sills are awesome as heck too!

06 s and it looks like it checks a lot of your guy’s boxes.

I actually think it’s a very fair price. Has JCW tuning kit, JCW brake kit, and factory LSD. All the important stuff
The remainder is a low mileage blank canvas to make your own. Not a lot of cars like this have surfaced lately.

It's a 16 year-old car with 47k on it (3k miles/year...). I think it's clean, very low mileage, and worth the asking price.
BaT has done weird things to what people think a collectible -or otherwise worthy- car is.
Also interested to know why people have such an aversion to Dealer vs Factory installed kits. They all use wrenches.
I have a thoughtfully modded '05 JCW I'd let go for $8k

Ask anyone with experience on a track with Mk1 MINI's, who have actually tracked both sans the LSD, and one with.....they will tell you the gains are marginal at best and typically unremarkeable ....I would not allow the lack of that component sway my decision.
This car sounds like a good deal if everything checks out. Under 50K is pretty low for a 2005 MINI which I think is in the “regular” car/brand realm and, except for the GP1 or GP2, was not even remotely collectible until very recently, even if a JCW.
The only real benefits of Factory JCW were the included brakes and LSD. Possibly not even the brakes since R56S front calipers and rotors are functionally the same and a cheap and easy upgrade.
I installed an LSD in my 04 JCW - and I won’t be bothering with one on my new 02 JCW
