Yeah I guess the pillars are anthracite, the lighting makes them look light grey, plus I haven’t been in mine long enough to see how dark the plastic is. Yeah, dealer clueless about everything except for the price lol. POUNCE! Don’t let a little brake dust stop you. One owner, you can probably get service history from original dealer.
Most welcome... Glad someone here got them.... they look pretty nice... Do a full leatherique treatment on them and let them sit for while after you get them... you'll thank me later.

Nice find. Can't tell for certain -- does it have the anthracite headliner? I'm thinking no. That looks like a lot of car (that you should grab) for $12.5K.
My only comment is: if a seller is asking a premium price, at least take the time to give it a full detail. I mean, really, this is the best seller can do? That really doesn't present very well.
For fellow NAM’rs that are lurking this thread for your next fine-ride ... this may be it..
I agree... the seller, a dealer, should do a detail... so be it... often I’d rather see it this way so I really know what I’m dealing with... and some youngster with a polisher hasn’t burned through the clear coat .
this is kinda like a barn-find without the barn... just the dust 🤣
Gotta remember this car is a low dollar car on ANY lot ... with higher priced Kias/Hyundai/Subaraus next to it... 😜
It’s not a $20k+ JCW R53 ... but it could easily be with a lil TLC. Better than many I’ve seen on BAT .
I hope someone on here snaps this one up ... as Jonny said ... it checks all the boxes...
Would be simple to find maint records on it with the PO doing a trade. Just gotta be willing to do the hunt.
Ask the dealer to send you a carfax on it ... and barring any issues there ... send it into a MINI specialist for a thorough PPI to check it out.
I’ve seen many R53’s without the REAR aero and it’s an improvement IMO .... I’m not a fan of the aero ‘kit’ in the first place ... and that rear bumper is the most ‘awkward’ piece, design-wise, again IMO.
Tose R98’s are the best look in a 17” on this car IMO... nice !!
on this &12,000 car ... I’d do a PDR routine, have a $1000 detail with ceramic treatment... address all the maintenance items that ALL 15 year old R53’s need... and pounce !!
That grey color is begging for this nice set of R56 Redwood Lounge leather seats
It looks like a gem at a fair price for what it is in the marketplace... though that GP1 above, IMO, is much better even with 40k more miles.
Thrasher... it has that ‘full deck’ of switches you like too 😎

If you all can help keep an eye out for me/family ...
This is normally a model most on this thread would overlook.
Any help is MUCH appreciated.
...
Looking for grad present for hard working Niece
max budget $6000
western location... Cali best.
Turn Key good shape
R52 Automatic, S-model LCi
no Red or Black or purple.
or
Convert LCi R57 Automatic ... base or S-model
no red, black
im not sure in the base model R57’s if there is a year break for engines ... like the N14 vs. N18 in the turbo ... if the Naturally Aspirated Variant Base-model has a ‘better’ engine after a certain year ... I could use some input on that.
I’m assuming that the R57’ all have a good Auto trans in general ... but open to clarification!

That is hilarious! But really perplexing at the same time, only because none of the special features and customizations are even mentioned! It's got quad exhaust and a bull bar for cripes sake, not to mention the pickup truck conversion! How could you be selling a car like that with no mention of those things? Fake FB ad?
Has the CVT trans, higher miles needs a 6 speed swap. Most red bull cars from the Gen 1 MINI days are autos, unless it was overseas.. Which means it has the CVT. I remember these when they came out. They came to our local college.
This is the absolute best post I’ve seen up here in the last 2years. That’s an $11k mini sitting right there, all day. Krawz, don’t make me go there and buy it out from under you. POUNCE!
