Made me LOL!
DANG!
That went quick, was just listed today on Car Gurus,
still shows up there:
https://www.cargurus.com/Cars/m-ETC-...ting=304991475
Guess there's a bit of lag time before that ad gets taken down.
Was just browsing CC and saw this GP listing from last year:
https://collectingcars.com/for-sale/...ooper-s-jcw-gp
It struck me that the red carpet is a perhaps an homage nod to one of the most well-loved hot hatches of all time,
the Peugeot 205.
Think it looks pretty cool, dunno if I could live with it though as I prefer rubber mats.

One could do a pre-purchase inspection for bodily fluids and spend $$$ decontaminating the interior post purchase but can you ever erase the image from your memory of him sitting in the boot of your new (to you) car?
Cheap 05 JCW 141k miles $5500 but rebuilt title.

What a gorgeous car.
Is anyone friends with the user that posted this specific MINI? I don't know if he still has that car or if he's still looking to sell it.
I'm looking for an R53 JCW to daily, they're tough to find in the PA/NJ/NY region!

Thanks for posting that, neat to see indeed.
Although he incorrectly identified the seats under the covers as the Recaros we never got here, no biggie because his excitement was infectious and made for a good watch, plus it was cool to see the car right from the ad with such a detailed walkaround.

That modded ebay JCW failed to meet reserve.
Would think that car might do fairly well on BaT, but I think that particular seller may shy away from there (or perhaps they've banned him from selling there?) because the one time he did list a car there the comment stream had a good bit of negative chatter regarding him.

But I still think the JCW is pretty damn cool --- with a proper PPI and some negotiation I wouldn't have any qualms buying it.

"Best Hot Hatches of All Time"
Browsing around this morning and rabbit holed one of my perennial fave topics.
Image collage from Car Magazine UK and it's great to see R53 right in the center. I'd rank the R53 as top 5 all time without much question, but as an American, my hot hatch experience is severely limited due to us being deprived of most of the universally acclaimed specimens.
If Toyota would have offered the GR Yaris here, I would have bought one because it encapsulates everything a proper hot hatch should be. I'm glad that it has been a global hit for them but sad we won't get it even though it is available in North America it is only for the Mexico market and the whole allotment there sold out quite quickly.

El Toyota GR Yaris viene a México y ya tiene precio: el hot-hatch más radical se podrá apartar con 20,000 pesos
A few moments ago, Toyota Mexico announced the arrival of 300 units of this Japanese hot-hatch for our market . It will be available in three colors: black, white, and red, each priced at 699,900 pesos . It can be reserved with only 20,000 pesos as of April 15 and approximately for next summer the units will begin to arrive.
I think GR Yaris is likely a beautiful swan song sendoff for 3 door hot hatches as I don't expect any more ICE examples in the immediate future, sadly seems so.
Would rock it hard.

Oi!
Sidetracked tangents --- back to what I was getting at previously is just what a good feeling it is to have a good hot hatch over here and I'm thankful to MINI for making it happen for us. R53 gets many a nod for best b-road basher and I'm glad to own one.

And,
oh yeah,
found and watched this viddie which I thought was spiffy keeno:
Great eye and good catch!
Seems so common these days where such mistakes are made and often go uncorrected because everybody is in such a rush with the immediate online content creation, even worse is the avalanche of typos prevalent nowadays as it seems that proofreading doesn't exist anymore even at large well-respected publications!
I do like how they chose the two 4 door hatches to be frontal views though LOL the Simca is rather ugly, but I can forgive the Lancia because it actually looks quite good as a 4 door the way they designed it and those killer box flares help too.
The BMW 2002 Touring is indeed an odd rare duck, reminds me of a car from my youth around the late 80's that was dilapidated and was just sitting forlorn abandoned in a parking lot like forever. I could never identify it even though I was well-versed in oddball euro cars from reading British classic car magazines, for whatever reason I could not grok the logo which turned out to be Glas, so BMW-related!

:
It was a very very pretty tiny little sports coupe --- here's a nicely restored example:

checked out his yootoob viddies and watched this one:
I'm currently on the hunt for a clean R53 and this JCW caught my eye. Not sure if anyone had posted it yet. Does the price seem high even with it being a JCW?
