Hello all.

I know it will be a long shot, but I am looking for a 2005-2006 Factory JCW Mini Cooper.

I prefer it to be stock, but lightly modded is okay.

Less than 60K Miles. Lower the mileage the better. Clean title only.

Pretty open on color, but no red. If it is BRG, I would be ecstatic.

My budget is pretty open, all depends on car.

Turns out Nachtsturm described the _exact_ car I'm also looking for, so make that two of us looking for this car. I'm located in the PNW area though I'm willing to travel if needed, for the right car.

The JCW Package wasn't a factory option until November 2005, which would be the 2006 model year.

If you want a factory "JCW" because it included a LSD, you can expand your search to Cooper S models built January 2005 or later, and do the aftermarket engine mods to bring it up to the JCW performance level.

The LSD was an option on the S models and it seems not too many people opted for it (based on my search for that last month). Tacking one on seems to cost around $2500 ($1800 for part + labor) if one is not handy with such things (such as myself).

You can get a Quaife LSD for around $1000.

 

That's a whole lot of money for a car with 40,xxx miles.

 

I am maninly looking for the 05-06 because of all the updates they received, better, gearing, available LSD, etc.

If a mint low mileage pre05 MCS with JCW kit installed, I would still be interested.

I could have bought a barely used 06 JCW in BRG 5 or 6 years ago. Still kicking myself for not buying it.

I just bought (April) a 2005 R52 S Auto,premium package, chili red with 3,648 miles for CONSIDERABLY less. It now has 7,400 wonderful miles.

 

That black car is loaded and gorgeous. If someone wants a black JCW then
he will get the price. I paid a little more for my space blue JCW (as loaded as the black car) and quite a bit less for my silver 06 JCW. Both had 34k when
I bought them. So depends on waiting for right buyer if want the higher price.
