I say keep the car, I too came from "higher" performance cars just as you did. I was running a E39 540M, C5 Vette, STI and a few others but I have to say I have not had as much fun as I have in my 06 MCS. Yea it doesn't have as much power as my other cars but for the weight to power ratio and the amazing handling and for what I paid for the car this is the best bang for the dollar in my opinion. Spend a few grand in mods and bam! a pocket rocket for the twisties. Just my 2 cents but you will have to decide that for yourself.

The other part of me wanting to part ways is the interior... While I absolutely love the retro/different interior on the Mini, the flow of it isn't what I'm used to like on my previous cars (center console, arm rest, cupholders, etc) at least for daily driving. I'll have to give it more thought though, but if the right offer comes along, I wouldn't mind parting with it either. Everything is still up in the air about this car for me.

Well that's the thing with these cars, every "performance" part you install will ACTUALLY make a difference, unlike some cars which makes a difference cosmetically or so minor that you can't tell a difference. I haven't personally notice any under-steer in mine but I do a have limited slip so maybe that's why. As for the interior I completely agree with you but once you get used to it, doesn't really matter much anymore unless you go from one car to another all the time. I say have fun with it, spend a few bucks, keep it for a year or so then if you really still have doubts then sell it, you can always recoup most of the money back in your aftermarket parts since the r53s are very popular.
Wow, quite a list of toys you've had there lol I hear ya on it. I did this weekend get to have a go in my neighbor's 06 MCS with a pulley, intake and exhaust and it made a huge difference I have to say... But that understeer is killing me. Does a big RSB really help that much, or is it not noticeable enough?
